I post this here as it was here on the Net that I got a grounding on Pedal Steel.I purchased a Sho Bud guitar(3+4).. 2 years ago without knowing very much about it or the mechanics of it.Through asking loads of questions to loads of people,i slowly got my answers and am pretty versed in the mechanics of my instrument now thanks to these people. My playing is coming on too Smile
I completely stripped the underside and rebuilt it better..slowly...I'd like to thank a few guys who took the time and were patient with my system of twenty questions. All types of questions on all aspects of the instrument....To name but a few in no particular order, sorry if i forget anyone.............

Larry Bell...copedent questions and for recommending John Coop to me.

John Coop for understanding my lack of knowledge and suppling me the A++++++ parts.

Ricky Davis...for helping me iron out the rough spots of the mechanics.

Gerry Hogan for tuning parts and keeping me on the phone for an hour...I am not worthy etc..

A big bunch of guys in The Steel Guitar Chatroom for answering a barage of questions..and for takin the time to help, and being great company..you know who you are guys.....BB,RW,JW,HM,RB,MMcG,DB,...Too many to mention.
The Steel Guitar Forum!!for the facility of accessing information that is only available on the Forum, and certainly not here in the UK!!

A Great Big Thankyou From Me Guys..... Smile

Heres the after picture..(8+5)

Hey Graham, The old Bud is looking good underneath. First thing they told me, If you are going to own vintage PSG's you need to be somewhat of a vintage PSG mechanic. Looks like you're doing fine.

Take care,

JW

Graham-Thanks for looking at my website.

There is a picture of my Sho-bud S10 Prof. with my Great Grandson looking on while I was playing it. Another one when I played with the "Geritol Three" at Indian Harbor Beach Resort. The leader was 78 and I was the youngest at 65. We played the whole season for 3 months down there in Florida.
Now that you have the Sho-Bud the way you want it, you will be happy with it.....al.SmileSmile
