Kiesel Bakelite lapsteel. Kiesel is the family name of the folks who started and still own Carvin. They made bakelite lapsteels that sound every bit as good as the Rics selling for over $1,000! This one is black and has painted frets. There is wear and some of the fret paint is missing under the area where you pick. This thing has tone all day long!!!
