There is a 7-string custom made ShoBud on ebay under "Shot Jackson". They are asking a pile of cash for it. I don't think it was one of his that he owned personally. ShoBud made resonator guitars from 1968-1973 while Gretsch was making the ShoBros. I am pleased to say that I own one of them. As far as I know, there were only 6 made by ShoBud, some 7 string, some 8 string.

In 1976 Shot let me borrow a Blonde (7)-str. like that one for a 1-mo. tour with Bobby Bare. Tuned to: E—F—G—A–B—C—E It sounded great, to me! I've never had the desire to own a Resonator Guitar.

Kevin:

This is a ShoBud, not a ShoBro. There a a lot of difference in the sound. Is what you heard a ShoBro?
