The E Harp was invented(?) by Eddie Alkire, and if you do a search on Ebay his method books and such appear fairly regularly for sale. There is also a website if you google his name of a guy that met his wife a few years ago and has a lot of information on the techniques and a lot of standard notation music for it. Those are really cool; good luck with it. |

I have an Acoustic 10 stringer which I tune EHarp and play frequently, Love to work with this tuning.
I have a student on line in San Antonio and
we are presently working on The Waltz You
Saved For Me. We are doing it in pedal style
and once we get the blocking down better
it will sound alright! |

Willis, This is the contact info for Ed Alkire Jr. Eddie Alkire's son. He has all the instructional material, strings, CDs etc. He is a very nice and helpful gentleman, and of course he can tell you anything you want to know about the Alkire Eharp.

Incidentally, here is the Alkire tuning and recommended gauges:
1 E - 14
2 C# - 16
3 B - 18
4 A - 20
5 G# - 22
6 G - 24
7 F# - 26
8 F - 28
9 E - 32
10 C# - 36
Only the lower 4 strings are wound, the top 6 are plain.
Good luck.
