A gentleman revealed to me the other day that he has my Dad's old lap steel from the late 40s. It has an amp with it and it still works. I am trying to talk him in to selling it to me.

What would it be worth? I haven't seen it, just give me an idea.

I know that GEBS was in Los Angeles. Anyone know anything about them??

It is amazing that the moment I decided to find out more on GEBS, I saw one on Ebay within 30 seconds!

A good friend of mine inherited her grandma's Gebs with amp a number of years ago. As near as I can discern, it looks to be part of the Magnatone or Dickerson family.
This is just my guess, someone may have more info about it.

Brown MOTS. I live in the Seattle area, and the only two I've ever seen came from Montana. Must have been a dealer there.
I remember the rectifier tube was a hard to find type 83. But I since read that there is a modern substitute.
