I've never been to a dentist or mall that plays country music.

I never have, either. They play WSIX or some such.

You wanna talk about real pain? Most dentists around here play stuff like Air Supply and other (to me) insufferable 70s/80s corporate pop-rock dreck. I'd much prefer to hear a lot of what's coming out of Nashvegas than this. Not much chance anybody up here in the Northeast mainstream is gonna be playing Ray Price or Merle Haggard as muzak.

You must have missed the memo on how Miley Cyrus says she is NOT country and why she won't do country.

Here is the quote:

SO your comparison isn't really quite fair as no one has ever considered Miley Cyrus as a "country" artist. Now if you were to compare her to another famous teenage pop/rock-n-roll artist, like Brenda Lee, then yes times have changed.

to tell you the truth, I don`t really follow Miley Cyrus memos, have better things to do with my life, but she sure looks sweet as a pie, wonder what important subjects in her songs, she is whining about, in that outfit...

country music is being buchered visually by modern day sexy looks, as well as musicaly by money greedy industry that has the same producers hiring the same players for 90% of the projects resulting in bubble gum/pop country sound and 90% of the music played on radio sounding almost indenticly...

I think that can apply to more than just country or more than just music.
And I still don't think of Miley Cyrus as country, no matter what radio DJ Disney pays off.

I agree and I would like to add that I don`t think of any new artist`s in Nashville as country, no matter what country radio DJ pays off , or if they have 5 seconds of steel guitar in the song or not...

yeap...I heard some of the most beautiful music at Bobbe`s SGN on S-8 steels with no pedals or knee levers, through one little 112 Peavey and few light bulbs for a light show...
