Sorry, when I reread your post I got your meaning. No, we sure don't have any problem. Happy pickin and may the music you believe in carry you to where you want to go. I definitely understand your feelings.
It's already carried me there. To get to work the Opry with Bill Monroe several times is more than I ever hope for. Not so good or anything, but adequate and in the right place at the right time. Lucky me... I got to fullfill a dream. I hope you are too. I used to go to "Norleans" quite a bit. Done some work in Fortier....across the Huey Long bridge. I'd love to play the Texas country scene, but that's too far away from TN and my day job to be realistic. Not complaining, I've been blessed in the music department. :)

This perfect pitch policeman finds it nauseatingly painful to hear music that's out of tune. Frankly, I fail to understand how any real musician does not feel the same way.

Long live the perfect pitch police. Death to the criminals who sing and play out of tune.
Have you listened to "Live at Leeds" recently? Yeah, it would be better if he sang that way but in tune; but would it have been better if he sang in tune but not that way?

When I saw them in '80 Pete was using Tele types all the time, but the LPs were his trade mark for most the 70s.

I guess I am less critical of performance flaws with older groups, I hear the misstakes, but tend to shrug it off, due to the fact that I am glad just to see them play.

I am 47 and was too young to see many classic groups in their prime, I envy you guys that got to see it as it happened.

I am going to see Clapton and Jeff Beck at the Garden in New York next Friday and have never seen either live. I will be happy just to see them.

One regret I have is never making it in to New York on Monday nights at the Iridium Jazz club to see Les Paul, he played there so long and I had planned to go one day, but kept putting it off.
Regards, Craig

I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet.

Today is tomorrow's Good ol' days

not to rub it in, but i finally made it to see Les back in 06... he was 91 and still tearing it up. He referred to my girlfriend as "doll" and when Jimmy Buffett turned out to be in the audience, he was invited up and promptly torn to shreds. That man had a wicked sense of humor. He could really talk some smack.

Who were we talking about again?
