If I didn't play steel, I'd have to have a Harley. I just gotta own something big and shiny that makes a great noise!
I played lots of biker bars in the 80's. Always loved that sound...

I don't own bikes anymore but for ten years they were all I used for transportation.
In order of purchase:
Jawa
Honda 350cc
BMW R50
BMW R60US
BMW R90/5S
BMW R60
John Fabian
{Wouldn't mind having another R60US if I could find a decent one at a reasonable price. "Good Luck" is what I've been told.)
[This message was edited by John Fabian on 09 May 2003 at 06:17 AM.]

you can get a nice one here in Europa John.
(what's reasonable in these times ?)
a R60/2 (not US) here in Europa is worth 5/6k
what does a Steel bar and Handle bars have in common ?
they go hand in hand

1969, I was living in Boston, there was a Brittish fellow down in Marshfield, named Bob Oliver, who was selling Norton "feather bed" frames with Vincent Black Shadow engines in them for $1200, which I couldn't afford. I had a '52 Triumph engine in a Norton feather bed frame that I paid someting like $350 or $400 for, it's a lot of the reason my kidneys look like raisons. My Guzzi is a lot more dependable

Was going thru some "before" shots.
I gotta admit that it was/is the Hobby I sorely needed. I got to make it what I wanted it to be.
Music on the other hand, no matter what effort you seem to put into it, is at the mercy of too many things...

It's gonna take another year before I have more time riding it than I did building it.
Now maybe those Franklin CDs will help me do something with my playing about the time the only 7 nite club in town goes Karoke....
Or....?

The rider is an "Indian" (my wife), but the bike is a "Harley" (Sturgis shovel Low-rider)!

I guess I have to add my 2cents in here. I have a 94 Ducati E-900, the same bike sold in Europe was marketed as a Cagiva Elephant. My guess is very few of you have ever seen one, not the sexiest bike Ducati ever made but light, with upright seating and wide bars and a skid plate means you can comfortably explore unpaved areas as long as they aren't too extreme. Plus it's comfortable and handles well on the road and sounds great.

This isn't a motorcycle forum. I suggest that you take this discussion to Off Topic
