I saw John Hughey's new Zum at Tulsa over Memorial weekend. That is one pretty blue laquer guitar. It sure did sound good and John's playing was fantastic.

Hey guys, in case any of you are interested, I posted a solo .mp3 in the Steel Players section of the Forum under the topic "C6 .mp3 – A July 4th tribute to our country". I recorded it using my Zum D-10/11 (11-string C6) direct in, with a little compression, and that's it. Several players have remarked about the tone being really nice, so if you guys wanna hear natural recorded Zum C6 tone, that's it. Take care and Happy July 4th! .. Jeff

Amazing stuff Jeff. If anyone questioned the sound of a Zum, this should put all that nonsense to rest. Thanks for the post, it's great.

How long have you had your Zum??? Have any pictures?? We've got a contest going on here.

Great looking guitar Mike. It's similar in color to my 01 D-10. Wouldn't you know it, my computer won't recognize my camera or memory stick so I can't post pictures right now. I'm trying to find out what the problem is.

Keepum commin guys and gals

Dalmir, you put a picture of an Emmons push/pull from Bobbe Sleazmour's website on a Zum thread? I'm not sure I understand your logic behind that. By the way, didn't you sell your Emmons in order to buy a house and you ended up with a GFI? Besides my beautiful Zum, I also own a completely restored, lacquer finish 1970 Emmons push/pull along with several other guitars but you won't see any of them on this thread. Your above posts are tasteless and your attempt to railroad this thread shows your total lack of respect.

I haven't the faintest idea how to 'post' a photo (even if I could figure out how to take one!), but I'm assuming that you guys can imagine what a plain black one looks like....

That's a beautiful guitar and if it were mine, I'd start an Emmons thread and post the picture for everyone to see but not in a Zum thread. That's like putting a picture of a Delorean in a Jaguar commercial.

I had the honor of picking on Roger Rettig's new Zum last week. It is a great axe but something went wrong at the factory..? all the pedals and levers are backward. And even tho I'm a little backward myself I couldn't quite get it.It's a keeper though

Check.

I didn't notice any disrespect or "++holishness" in Damir's posts. Sheesh, there are people ( Not talking about any one in particular,) that make a living selling or jobbing out their manufactured guitars. Some of them are probably pretty crappy ones, and I've seen a lot heftier pricetags than that on them. I'm sure there are plenty of guys and gals that are playing axes they haven't even paid for..

I'd kind of like to see more Zum's setups. The customization of the fronts look really
gettable". Especially info on BCs changes.

They are getting a pretty good rap, and there are quite a few of "us" that are ready for something "new".

WTF?

Jim,

I don`t have to brag about it.We all know what that guitar is ,how good does it play and everything else.I posted on the Ebay to make a few bucks and like I said there ,if it doesn`t sell I will for sure keep it for mayself. There is nothing on this world that sounds beter than "that" guitar. And I`m sure you know that too my friend. Now ,what`s up with all that conspiracy ,why so many people get interested in what I have ,buy and sell. There must be many more forumities here who do the same thing. So ,why am I always the bad guy...?When I buy a guitar I pay what the seller is asking for it,so I don`t see the problem. However ,I`m not going to get upset with some who try to keep their little boring lifes interesting diggin up things about the other people ,but have fun here.So back to the topic. The best looking Zum I have ever seen was John Hughey`s blue guitar.I saw it and heard it few times down town and it truly is a wonderful instrument.
