I think James is doing a great job in enabling us to refurb and or upgrade our Shobuds.
Last week I ordered a lot of parts from James for my '73 LDG.
In '77 Shobud 'upgraded' it to better parts
and I'd like to go back to real good parts like the ones James is making.
Also, James is very supportive in helping me with my LDG. Thanks a lot James!!

Fretboard
James, I put the black original dustcatcher on this Pro 1 I'm finishing up
but it took away from the look. Then I saw your white fretboard and thought that may be the look. Blue and white work but not black and blue. Can you see the tape on the edges or is it super thin? I could use anyones thoughts on white or original. thanks.

Here are 2 pictures showing the progress on refurbing my '73 LDG.
When I bought the LDG it was in bad shape and James offered to help me refurb it. I am completely new to the pedal steel.
After a while I came to the conclusion that some parts were just too bad to make 'em nice and shiny.
Luckily James emailed me that he's making new Sho Bud parts.
I ordered quite a few parts and these parts are just great.
The nylon bushings in the L-brackets definitely are an improvement.
I am grateful for all of the help I get from James and I am excited about the new parts. Can't wait to have the LDG refurbed and ready to play...
