I'd like to find one of the resonator Kays! About the Blue Fingers. I got mine in Milwaukee, or possibly on one of my trips to Chicago. George Van Epps lived near a good music store, the name of which I can't remember. I was playin' a 295 in a band called Methyl Ethyl and The Ketones at the time, and was having feedback problems. The manager of that music store sent me to George's place to get one of his mutes. Worked great!
But the Blue Finger! I wonder if they ever got out of that area. I've never seen another one until your pic. And I've asked and posted about them.

MLA, it's definitely a Blue Finger. And, if my memory serves me well, it's a Teflon-coated aluminum tube. Light, slippery, and quiet. The more I think about, the more sure I am that I got it in Chicago.

Michael I bought my first two Rickenbacker laps from you a long time ago, two cheapos one pre and one post war, gotta love those pickups.
Bought some catalog reprints too along the way but got the Kay pic from Michael Wright's Guitar Stories Vol.Two. A nice Kay section in the book.

Thanks again MLA! I took my Kay and the Oahu amp to a blues jam yesterday. Set the Oahu on top of a Marshall, put a mic on it and let it rip. Lots of strange looks, followed by compliments. Mostly about the rig!
