In any case I was blown away with this super young man's dexterity, speed and taste in playing the PSG.
Years later, when Hal Rugg and Larry Sasser asked me to produce Atlanta's first Steel Guitar show, I knew I had to have this awesome player. But I had NO idea how to get in touch with him.
Well Jesus took care of that. It seems that a dear friend of mine was also a dear friend of Mike's. So as always, when one let's the Lord lead, our good dreams always come to fruition.

He got several standing ovations.
But the best part was, his mother drove to see him perform (as best I recall) at his first appearance on a PSG show. It doth not get any better than when I looked at her eyes as Mike shined brightly on that stage.
NO love, except that of Jesus is greater, as she proudly watched her own dazzle us all with foot work as well as fingers that tickled those strings as few others could.
