I didn't see Dawn Sears name on the list. I think she is very soulful! I don't think she gets the recognition she deserves. You know you have to be good to be Vince Gill's backup singer.

I'm still a Gene Watson fan. Try his rendition of "Take me as I am or let me go", along with "I never go around mirrors" for example.

Too, the steel player on both didn't do a "bad job". His name---some guy named Buddy somebody---and if his fills and rides don't give you cold chills, you're dead. Tell them to pull the clods over you.

When I heard Mandy Barnett at the Opry I thought 3 things :

1) Immediately the logical Patsey reference.
2) But right after that Aretha Franklin...
3) Incredible control.

I got her two cd's and never changed my mind.
Soul and feeling in big amounts.

The guy who's name I couldn't remember before is Mark Gray... What a singer! He had a helluva voice and played a pretty good piano to boot!!...JH
