Some of you may remember Herb Williams in Ft Worth? A Tailor of Western Clothes.Did real nice work.It has always caused me to chuckle,as it did just now,that Nudie always referred to Herb as "The Cowpashur Tailor".

Cal, I just bought a double CD of Faron's Greatest Hits, The Capitol Years (i.e 50's & 60's). No liner notes on musicians. Some great steel though. Wazzat you in there?

Nah, I'm not that old. Yet. Ben Keith did some of his sessions. Also Lloyd, Jernigan, Buddy, and I don't know who else. Jimmy Crawford, maybe. The producers never seemed to let the steel do much on his sessions; aways sounded kinda generic to me. I lked the fiddles on some of Faron's records; they really got to shine at times.
