What were your favorite TNN shows from the "good ole days"?

I will always remember on Nashville Now when Pat Boone was demonstrating his Rope Tricks from when he played Will Rogers in the theatre. (this was a live show). He twirlled a big loop, it caught his Head and took off the Hairpiece he was wearing. It went flying across the stage with Pat in hot pursuit. Pat retreived it, put it back on, and had a good laugh along with everyone else. Maybe this is somewehere on U-Tube !

Didn't have TNN long enough to want to remember the good old days. I don't even remember what shows were on that channel.

I loved American Music Shop because it was progressive! Dancing USA & Pickin' at Paradise with Lionel Cartwright was really good.
I loved the show that was filmed at the Cannery. The Cannery? I'm getting old......

Oh my, this is an old thread.

American Music Shop was my favorite, by far. We would generally go down to tapings at Vanderbilt if they were going on when we were in town. There were some really memorable ones - Gatton, Gill, Lee, with John Hughey on steel; Marty Stuart and Pops Staples; John Hiatt and Iris Dement; wasn't at this one, but the show with Ricky Skaggs and Albert Lee was great. I also have a bunch taped on VHS if they haven't deteriorated by now - that stuff is pushing 20 years old at this point.

Yeah Theresa, I loved "Pickin at the Paradise" too, it was a spinoff from the sitcom, I40 Paradise and was a lot more about "the music" than I40. I remember seeing the Doug Jernigan" episode, wow, I could not believe that something of that excellent quality would be aired on national TV, Superb!!! Luv me some TNN.
BTW, you are not getting old, that's what I keep tellin' myself.

george jones had a great talk/music show.

glen whorf was bass player on american music shop. a fellow wisconsinite who was a steel player in the eau claire area mid 70's.

"American Music Shop" for sure. It was the highlight of my week. The guests were great, but Mark O'Connor, Jerry Douglas, and Brent Mason in the house band... Are you kidding me?
