Right on, Fred. I loved the Allman Brothers. But when I was 14, it was Steely Dan’s Aja that rocked my world. All of a sudden those sounds from my grandfather’s records were now in modern music. Pete Christlieb’s solo on Deacon Blues was the one that really got me. Especially on the fade out.
