Never buy a used SM57-58 unless the source is unimpeachable... the used market is filled with fakes... new market too. The fakes are good enough now that you can’t tell the difference by sight. I only buy from a reputable store now.
Too much junk to list... always getting more.

This is true. Same for Sennheiser actually.

There are knock offs.


The Shures have been made in Mexico for some time so the U.S. made ones happened long ago.

There are a lot of good used but buying something new, have to know who's selling and what the fakes look like.
