My Blanton had the E lower on RKL when I got it and I got use to it there, but when I tore it down to restore it I decided to move that change to LKR with the raise on LKL.Having both of the E changes on the same knee made sense at the time. Now after reading these posts,I've decided to put it back to the original set-up.Because I use it with the A and B pedals a lot,it makes sense to not have to try to work the foot and knee on the same leg at the same time. Can't walk and chew gum.
So that's my project for to-day,after I cut the grass.
Thanks Guys,for all the in-sight.
Love this forum.
Thanks B zero B for making this possible.PJ

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out,and loudly proclaiming:"WOW,what a ride!"

Thanks alot for the input guys..........guess its alright for an "old dog" to stay away from new tricks! I forgot to mention that I also have the E's raise on LKL. I'm with these as I am with the Fretboards......gotta be Hearts, Spades, Diamonds & Clubs!
Thanks again,
Neil

Like b0b, I too, changed from LKR to RKL for the E-D# move.
I play a U-12.
I liked b0b's logic of having that smooth transition from D#-E-F or viseversa.
Also, IT is easier to hold the E-D# lever in on the right knee and hitting the "outer" pedals when thinking B6. My LKR lever now drops my B's to Bb. Thought this would be a problem when reaching for B6 pedals, but it hasn't so far. Just have to know your instrument, and position the "bod" just right.

Guess I'm another odd duck, I lower my E's on the RKR and raise them on the LKR. My first guitar came with the lower set up this way, and when I started raising the E's to F, about 15 years ago, the LKL was the only place I could easily put that change. It works for me, so why fix it.

RKL...the change from a D7 to G at the 3rd fret. B pedal & knee is D7 add the A pedal for D9, then release to G Major. This move is very smooth for me with the lowers on RKL. I've tried playing with it on LKR and it seems more awkward trying to do all three with the left leg. I guess its just what you get used to.
