I bought a new Finger~Tip model Sho-Bud in early ’67. I ordered it with 10-pedals and they spaced all of them evenly. I used it on a 10-week Far~East USO Tour in early ’68 and traded it back to Sho-Bud upon my return home in April of ’68. It had Robins~Egg Blue necks and front/rear cabinet w/hazy-black cabinet top. Nice looking guitar, but; hard to tune because of all the spring~tension adjustments!

I see that the string ends sit over a pin on the finger. This is a much better method than the groove system on many of the later SB's. Trying to get the bottom C6th string to sit in the groove is the bane of my life when changing strings.
Ricky/Bobbe - just out of interest - when did ShoBud introduce the grooved fingers and why?

I think it was around 1974-75, and probably because it was cheaper to manufacture. Don't have to drill holes, insert pins, etc.
