Mike--my wife also calls it a "Steel Pedal Guitar," among other things. She also has called it a keyboard with strings, my new mistress, and a sleep-robber. I guess she's right about those last two.

Our instrument has a one word name, its been called "Steel" since its inception.

Hey, simply calling it a "steel" might work for you guys who use steel bars, but what about those of us who use zircona bars? Do we call it "a zirconia?"
