Oh Oh. Here we go again. The "court jokesters" are out again. Probably time to close 'er up & start a new topic.

I'm really interested in what he gets out of Santo. I hope Santo realizes that he has a lot of fans in the world who wish him the best whatever it is that he wants from life.

Norman Greenbaum at one point was working as a fry-cook in Petaluma, CA. "Spirit in the Sky" got used in a major movie (Forrest Gump, maybe?) and his fry-cook days were over. He was in a bad car accident a year or so back. He seems to have recovered pretty well. I've been in touch with him over the years. He's written some funny songs and has recorded several overlooked albums after "Spirit."

:D Hey, Paul.
I'm with you. I just want useable, interesting info. I can do without jokes. Got nothing to add to the topic,---don't post.

There have been many million-selling instrumentals. Maybe you meant Sleep Walk is the only million-selling steel guitar instrumental?

It was #1 on the Billboard chart for two weeks in September, 1959. Right up there with Elvis, Bobby Darin, and others. It doesn't get much bigger than that.
