Yes...indeed!
Kudos to Lloyd, Tommy and Russ for this endeavor. Many of us spend many years playing, especially those of us that play professionally in artist bands "reproducing" other prominent players licks and phrases, etc. I'm excited now, in my "bonus footage" years about pursuing the very thing that Lloyd and Tommy are into here. Spending time and looking at the prospect of playing steel from a more "technical" approach(not trying to make that sound too "cold"). To me, the likes of Lloyd and Tommy have always been on the leading edge of this concept. Innovative, interesting, and oh so enjoyable to listen to! Respectfully submitted, RK

not just iconic playing ,obviously, but the song is extremely well written and arranged. The simplicity of the duet production allows for all of Lloyds unique nuances to become front and center and equal to the song.
Tommy, Lloyd, wonderful, thx !

Fred,
By reverse positions, it is a way of playing from what is considered the 5 chord to play a 1 chord . For example, If in the key of G , 3rd fret no pedals, it requires playing the relevant intervals, strings and pedals on the 5th fret to achieve major 7ths, minor 7ths, etc. Reverse positions expands the tuning with a wider choice of options to melody and chords.. For E9th, the A, B and C pedals do not always dictate the position of what key you are playing in, as in the traditional sense.
