I would rather see frontal pictures, than just a keyhead or changer.

there is 15 000 members here, and we all have our own preferences, this is just an idea for now, I can easily make a calendar with only a front pictures if thats what most guys want...at this moment I haven't spent bunch of cash on print, so I can change things around if needed...even tho, I personally think, just a front pictures would be pretty boring, I tried to make it interesting, and intriguing as possible..something little different ...Richard Sinkler wrote:I would rather see frontal pictures, than just a key head or changer.

To be honest with you, I didn't realize this was a real project. Cool.

I had some people asking me about calendar thing before, and I just wasn't up for it... I will try to see if there is any interest in it, and see ... I may print 20 or so, calendars and wait to see what happens... it actually is a good idea, I'm just not sure of demand... I received about 20 or so emails, from the guys wanting to order one, so if I print 20 I should be safe lol ... however, the one I ordered for myself, I paid $25 for, I will have to find a much more affordable place to print a larger order...

thanks my friend, I only ordered one copy for right now to see how I like it, it is the biggest size, and it should look really nice on the wall... I may make another one with only frontal views, and if there is enough guys interested I could alway offer both versions, frontal view, and detailed view ... I thought about having a few small pictures in big one, but I'm worried that it would be too much, and all that stuff would take away from the beauty of the guitar in the big picture...Herb Steiner wrote:This is great!
BTW, I think the full-frontal view is the best. Shows the complete beauty of the guitars. Just sayin...

I'm thinkin the reason you, Damir, were selected shoot psg pics is because you are excellent with a camera. Part of that I believe is your eye for composition ,etc. so I think the format of a calendar or whatever, should be up to you that keeps it simple, gives you creative lee-way, and adds the "mystery" factor...Stormy
maybe if u put the Steel Guitar forum's logo on 'em Bob mitte give a little store space ...just thinkin....

yes, "mystery" was a word I was looking for... when you take the picture of the whole guitar, its just all there, in plain sight, I think my favorite "mystery" picture is the one of the Excel changer, if I had just took the picture of the whole guitar it would just be another guitar, but just taking the picture of the changer, it actually presents a mystery for an ordinary person, they would probably think "this is a guitar"??? but we all know what it is ... little mystery never hurt anyone, it makes our lives more interesting, and exciting....

Damir, what about mixing the photos and having several of fronts, several of changer area, keys, etc. ?
I would be interested in both calendar and a book if that ever comes to pass. Maybe you can take orders before you print them and have the money up front. That might also give you some leverage when you bargain with the printer.
Thanks for giving the calendar a try. stevet

Thanks for making the Carson Wells steel the Jan pic, it has made it's rounds around the Ore area, a good sounding, easy to play rig.

this is an awesome guitar, and absolutely drop dead gorgeous... I didn't even know they exist until 2 weeks ago... how did this guitar sneak by me without noticing, I have no clue... I should have put it on the cover ... great guitars...Larry Behm wrote:Thanks for making the Carson Wells steel the Jan pic, it has made it's rounds around the Ore area, a good sounding, easy to play rig.

so far it doesn't look too good, local Kinko's is charging $35 per calendar, my local shipping store $32 etc... so far it looks like, after all expenses, and shipping one calendar would be $45-$50 I'm not sure how acceptable that is... if i was printing 10 000 copies, it would probably be more affordable, but for those few copies I would need price is going to be pretty high...I'm yet to see Vista, but they wont be much better, I'm afraid ...Chris Brooks wrote:Damir, I've had good luck (and occasional discount deals) from Vistaprint. I had some postcards made, but they do calendars, mugs, etc too.

thanks guys. I just received the first print, and it looks great, I like it...because of the custom design, and low volume, it is quite costly to print, price is $35 shipped to US and Canada...you can see details at
