Mike,
I know that it can be done and I've set at a couple PP's over the years that had the splits. I didn't care for the way they felt. I should have looked at yours when I was over there. If I get to make a Super Jam or two this year, and you will allow me, I'd love to take a peek at yours.
Thanks,
BB

Hope you're happy with your choice Richard. Maybe "limitations" was the wrong word for me to use reagarding a p/p universal. Complexity and inconvenience might be more accurate. I could look at my first all-pull and immediately see how to make setup changes, and could do so in a matter of minutes. Making changes on the p/p requires much more carefull thinking, and usually some time consuming trial and error. It reminds me of a great line from the old Amos and Andy show.
Andy: Kingfish, how do you get good judgement?
Kingfish: Ohhh, Andy, good judgement comes from experience.
Andy: Well, how do you get experience?
Kingfish: Bad judgement.
Another problem with the p/p - the sustain is so much better, it forces you to get better at blocking.
