A "piece of cake", Bill? Surely a mere pastry could not engender such calamitous cacaphony, with the ensuing dismay and discommodation experienced by the author!
Jim- how melifluous! Rolling trippingly off the typing digits...
Frank..that was indeed funny!
my guess:
Rick's b@nj* got caught in the changer...
[This message was edited by Dave Van Allen on 07 May 2003 at 06:42 AM.]

OK OK enough of this mystery CLANK!
Drum roll please!!!
And the cigar goes to Jan Dunn!!!
The right side of the pedal bar came loose & there was about 1/8" of play .With the pedals up the bar moved up & when I pressed the pedals down CLANK!
So I reached over & gave the little wing nut a quick turn & no more CLANK!
Still lovin my Carter! My mistake
I have a carter and this has happened to me a
couple of times, not just on my carter also my MSA D10, I for got to put the wing nut on the pedal bar of MSA, on carter I forgot to tightened down the fastener. feel pretty embarrased when it happens, the old memory problem.
My Mullen started doing that abou 2 years ago and we've looked under it from all angles and the best we can figure, it is in the crossrod assembly due to wear. It isn't real bad but it's still there sometimes. I've thought about having Dell rebuild the undercarriage but hate to do without it for any length of time.
