Steve - As you also witnessed - this was very typical of Porter's generosity towards sidemen musicians.

Yes,Porter was very generous to his musicians...I did witness that!

That picture looks exactly like the banjo he was playing in Branson and also on the cover of his electric banjo CD which I have........jH in Va.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!
