Hey, Bill and Jim...

If I found an 8-track in good condition, I might think about it.

And I'd like to get a 2-track reel-to-reel. I see some commercial reel-to-reel releases from the 1960s I'd like to have. Like recordings by plectrum banjo virtuoso Eddy Peabody.

As for cassette players, I have (blush) three of them in good working order. One is a double cassette.

A few years ago, I got a turntable for 78s. Found a collection of 78 rpm play-along arrangements by Billy May at Double Decker last week.

It's a good thing I don't have a music obsession or anything like that.

I forgot to mention my minidisc players.

Great format for portable digital recording with a stereo mic.

And I use them for backing tracks for my gigs.

I'm gonna get on cdbaby and get your jazz cd, Jim. It sounds fabulous!

Anyone interested can buy my bluegrass/Manitoba disc at
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/andrewroblin

And by Jamaican mento cds at

and

To top it off, you can get a free download of my latest, "I Love Mento," at

I hope Hurricane Sandy doesn't mess up Jamaica and my friends.

Plug over.

Sure -- at any yard sale. The real question is can you still play cassettes?
Sure, it beats listening to the AM/FM radio when I'm driving.

What--You guys have something else to play music on in the car?? Soon as I get 300,000 miles on my '91 Corolla wagon I'll have to get me one of them newfangled automobiles.

My 96 Nissan has a Pat Benatar cassette stuck in it that won't play. I'm sorta thankful for that actually.
