I loved the Trio-Dolly, Emmylou, and Linda-their version of "To Know Him Is To Love Him" came out when I was a kid in the eighties and thir amazing harmony just blew me away! Around the time I became a teenager, a band called Blackhawk had just started-they were a trio consisting of my friend Henry Paul, lead vocalist who plays guitar and mandolin, guitarist Van Stephenson, and keyboardist Dave Robbins. Stephenson and Robbins were songwriters who wrote songs for the band Restless Heart and other artists. Van died in '01, but Blackhawk is still a band. Today, one of my favorite trios is Lady Antebellum-I love their harmony and their songs are awesome! I've got a lot of respect for Rascal Flatts because they now carry a steel guitarist.
