Paul, do pass on to Marty my gratitude for his unwavering support of traditional country music, the steel guitar, and now this great TV show...Marty's the Man!
And like most others, I want the show to be an hour long, with longer chats with Marty and guests, plus more music, of course. That half hour is too dang short!
You and the band are truly fabulous! Keep up the great work.

Thanks Bruce. What a fun night! I had lots of friends and family in the audience. One of my oldest friends Kathy Mattea was there, who I played steel for back in the mid 90's after Exile stopped touring. I also played keys for her in the late 90's, and again in 2002-2003. She told me after the show that I had found the perfect band for me to be a part of, and I have to agree with her. Not only Marty, Kenny and Harry top notch musicians, but we truly enjoy playing together and there is no drama on and offstage. That is extremely rare where music is concerned.
Speaking of Connie Smith, we just finished cutting her new CD project, and I think any true country fan is gonna love it!! I think all 12 tracks are wonderful. She cut live at RCA studio B with the musicians just like she did in the 60's. She is still one of the most amazing singers I have ever heard! I will keep you posted on when that's coming out.

Paul, I agree about Connie Smith. She's a real country Diva. She's lost nothing with time and is actually better in some ways. Her projection, phrasing, and ability to sustain her notes is par excellance. Heart felt singing with a great band behind her. Love that guitar player with her. Paul your back round, experience, and multi- instrumentation is very impressive.

My favorite part of today's episode:
"Get Down On Your Knees And Pray."
Bill Monroe meets the Staple Singers!
Marty had the musical insight to bring Pop Staples' guitar style to this Bill Monroe song. Daley & Vincent, a super bluegrass group, and the Superlatones harmonized together every bit as well as the Beach Boys. The song sounded like one of the Beach Boys double-tracked vocal classics.
Fine, fine, fine. Especially bringing Pop Staples' guitar into the mix.

Most people that watch TV have no idea of the chores and challenges that go in to getting that show to their TV.
Thanks for the process flowchart. Got my first exposure to TV production about 10 years ago. It ain't simple.
A tip of the hat to Marty.
