I'm glad I'm working in a band that plays that crap and noise, makes me sound better than I have in 50 years. Playing more gigs than ever. keep that what ever you call it- coming my way :) . nice to have people come up to me and say," I've never seen a steel guitar before, boy you sound great ".Joe

Well, despite a plethora of opinion to the contrary, Kid Rock and Big and Rich certainly aren't country
Those two clowns from Big and Rich are a disgrace to country music. And the lead singer Rich thinks he is pure country. He even hosted some country reality show on CMT a while back boasting how he's sooo country. I wanted to snatch that handle bar mustache off his face and beat him with it. Then he at least know what a "country" ass whoopin is.

Joe's got it! If you want to get the gigs and make a bit of money, you gotta play what your audience wants to hear, otherwise get used to playing for free and once in a blue moon.

And there is no one way to play steel (or country music for that matter). If you're stuck on 'traditional' country steel guitar styles and refuse to think outside the box, you're going nowhere.
Sho-Bud Pro III + Marshall JMP 2204 half stack = good grind!
