I don't know where Kid Rock and Darius Rucker are from, they might blow your theory all to pieces.
Someone please tell us some country stars that were from up north. This is a good subject. [/quote]
Rick- But many would say Kid Rock is not country.
The song that Kid Rock and Cheryl Crowe recorded was one of the prettiest duets. To me it was country.
Now I know this comment is going to get me some negative comments but I feel I must share it any way. I heard Hank Jr's daughter a few weeks back and hank should had told her years ago ( you dont sing out your nose) but Im sure she would had said you let my brother sing and I want to. end of story. I posted a thread just a while ago about George Jones take on todays so called music. I have to thank someone above for willies place on XM if you dont have it you should get it, and the time that Bill Mack is on running is flap and not playing music tune it to channel 10 ( country roadhouse) until the mack show is over.
New top 40 country BLOWS!!!!Thanks to folks like 'Withering' I mean 'wispering' Bill Anderson, and Gene Watson, the so called 'Trashville', I mean 'Nashville' sound is so generic and bland. Sounds like 'light rock' or christian music. ISH!!!! imo. What ever happend to cheatin', drinkin',fightin', and slow movin' trains? Songs like Porter Wagoner's 'The Cold Hard Facts of Life'? Instead we get Carrie Underwood's 'Jesus take the wheel'.Ouch!!!!What an insult to country music purists.
