How do I get in touch with Jack? (Yes, I've tried his phone number.) Any ideas?
My best,
Ernie

Ernie, what are you looking for? I think I've got one of Jack's original bars, 7/8", that I don't use any more. It's much like his newer bars although it's a bit tarnished and needs to be buffed out a bit. Definitely light weight if that's what you need.

I need to double check and make sure it's still in my pack seat, otherwise it may have burned when my house went. If that would help, drop me an email, and I'll see if I can find it.

I was just emailed by Jack's eldest daughter, Jacqueline. Unfortunately, I'm sorry to report that Jack has been admitted to Dallas VA Hospital with stage 4 brain cancer.

Jacqueline is going to send me contact info as soon as possible and says that Jack would be lifted by hearing from any and all in the steel guitar community.

I'll put the info up in a separate post as soon as I get it.

Well, that's a bummer amd a half! I was looking forward to getting to know Jack and see what you're all talking about. I'd still like to find one of his lighter bars, if anybody...

Please convey my most heartfelt well wishes to Jack and his family.
My best,
Ernie

Post by Jerry Foster »

I have the 15/16 J.P. super sustain Bar that I will sell. I don't use it so It's for sale. I use the 1" T BAR THAT I bought from Jack back in 2009 at the Dallas show. it was sad to hear he had passed. I will take $100.00 for the 15/16 Bar. thanks , Jerry F.

Note to Herb Steiner

I just checked through your gear list - suggest you contact Jack soonest - a bar would add a lot to your playing style and sound, for sure!
