David, my apologies. I failed to see that in your post.I thought it was implied that:
a cello of that calibre being preserved from weather related harm,
would ALSO apply to a violin of the same calibre.
Though noot to the use of a carbon fiber substitute.
Of course Mr. Perlman is awesome.
And no doubt his 'best of the milenium' violin was also kept from harm.
Heck, it wasn't just "implied", it was stated!
