Phil also had a pedal device on a Music Man guitar, which he used on the Nashville Super Pickers show on Austin City Limits. Don't know if it was the MSA unit or something else.
I sure would like to see it become available. Granted, the market for it might not be huge, but then again, PSG is not exactly a mass-market item either, but there are enough of us nutcases who'll shell out major bucks for one to make them worthwhile for numerous builders!

Phil Baughs Pedal Guitar
If I'm not mistaken, the Fender jassmaster pedal guitar of Phil's was stolen around 1977. I never did hear after that if it was recorvered but do remember talking to Phil about it after it dissapeared.

The guitar and pedals in the bottom three pictures of Roy Glaze's post is from my collection. It differs in several areas from the units MSA made, this could have possibly been a prototype made by someone else. I bought this one around 10 years ago, and the guy I bought it from had no idea who made it.
The unit works, but the strings make a 90 degree bend around a fairly small roller, and the B and E strings don't last very long. There is a lot of slack in the cables also. I am planning on rebuilding the changer someday, but I've had too many projects ahead of it. The guitar plays fine without the pedal unit, and looks like a stock guitar when the cables aren't hooked up to it.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.
