Great clips! I have always loved Joe's playing but only know a little of Roy's work. They are from different schools and a big difference is Roy's inability to construct a decent bass line while accompanying.

"Jazz Winds" certainly is a timeless recording and always sounds fresh to my ears.

Are there any recordings of Hank Garland playing solo or as a single accompanist in jazz style? Is there any recording of Hank with Jimmy Bryant?

As far as I know, Bryant and Garland never played together, unless some jam session took place. Justin Tubb recorded a couple of songs with just Hank and a bass player, kind of what Julie London did with Barney Kessel.
