What no Fluffer Nutters? :D
DLD, Chili farmer. Plus bananas and papaya too.

Real happiness has no strings attached.
But pedal steels have many!

Good Lord, I haven't thought about Marshmallow Fluff in at least 40 years. Another Boston guy here - I lived on Fluffernutters for years growing up. In grade school, we used to make art projects using Fluff - erupting volcanoes were pretty popular. Heated up, it's creepy, oozy stuff - a paper mache volcano erupting Fluff with tiki torches and go-go girls would make a pretty fun surf-band party.

On the topic - I have indeed played with go-go girls and burlesque types of shows in various situations. Fun stuff.

Robert Randolph routinely invites women to come up onstage and dance at some point in his shows. For example -

Not exactly go-go girls, but still fun. Given the typical steel player's stone-faced propensity, it might be a good idea if more bands with steel adopted some stage-show ideas. Probably has to be the right kind of music for that, though.

While playing on the road in the late 60s and early 70s we played a club in Owensborro KY we played a club called the Little Brown Jug. There was a city ordanence aganist dancing but they could have go-go girls. It was wierd to stand on stage with a house full of poeple sitting with a Go-G0 Girl on each end of the stage.

I had a gig one time in a basement bar directly underneath a strip club. We took long breaks.
And, I once had a gig IN a strip club in Germany. I was playing steel that night, and was sitting about three feet from the pole. There´s something very special about seeing a young lady "dance" to steel guitar rag.............
