When Garth was playing minor league baseball here in Phoenix, I was really cheering him on. I wanted him to make it in baseball so he'd quit show biz (I won't call it music).

Sombody above said Glen Campbell wasn't country. I don't care, because he's got talent. Raised on Tal Farlow. Can play Tiny Moore mando licks note for note on guitar. Garth can splash fake blood all over himself while he fakes playing a piano. It must have reminded him of his days as a bouncer. He acts like he was the bouncee. Landing on his head every shift.

It's bad enough that Garth is an insincere phony. But if you are going to pretend to be a musician, don't insult musicians by trying to act like a sentimental cornball.

Also, friends don't let friends play Takemines.

I'll leave the last word to Kinky Friedman: "Garth Brooks is the anti-Hank."

I think it's great that you say God bless. You are wishing good things for people. I appreciate it. I don't see why you should have to know somebody to wish blessings on them. I hope your blessings and prayers work. Why shouldn't we pray for people we don't know in Iraq?
