Richard,
Yes, you are very correct.
People have been predicting the end for quite a while but NO one knows the time. Only the Father in Heaven. :D

I believe that environment plays the dominant role in most lives. We always gave our children and grandchildren unconditional love and positive support. I am the only one in this family without a degree, but the grandchildren have all said that they liked my advice, years ago, now I can't remember what it was.....oh well. I am a strong advocate in regard to religion, I don't know what I'd do without it; don't want to think about being without it. My payday is a big hug!!

Does this mean that all of the stories in the National Enquirer were true?

I got my earliest education in classical music from Captain Kangaroo... The world has come a long way since Patti Page and "How Much is that Doggie in the Window?"
The very existence of some of the stuff that passes off for "youth entertainment music" supports the theory that every generation has to do something more radical that the previous just to "make their statement".

All we did was let our hair grow...

Nowadays it's body piercings, tatoos, etc...

I'm glad I'm old.

Maybe we need a clear definition of satanic music. If we are gonna follow the doctrine that closely, then that pretty much rules out any kind of popular music from the last 100 years...........no more Johnny Cash, Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, Faron Young, Webb Pierce, Stephen Foster, Jimmie Rodgers, The Carter Family, Merle Travis, and God knows anything after 1985. After all, they all recorded songs about womanizing, sins of the flesh, drinking, drugs, killing, rape, and on and on and on...........
The point is there are gray areas in almost everything, and music is no exception. Ultimately it's up to the listener as to how he or she interprets and applies the lyrics to his or her everyday life.

I am a Christian, the son of a Congregational minister, and proud of my faith. I (nor anyone else that I saw) was or is defending satanic music. Agreed, there is a lot of music out there that isn't wholesome or healthy to be exposed to, and certainly not young impressionable minds. Furthermore, there is an even greater amount of music out there that is nothing more than a feeble attempt at stretching ones' first ammendment rights. Rock and roll didn't start off as a "finger to the Christians," it was an act of rebellion against the establishment, the frustration of youth. Please remember that there is a difference in Christianity and religion......

"Judge not lest ye be judged"

That quote is from a guy who actually hung out and conversed with Satan late one night. Does that mean we shouldn't read or follow his teachings?

atrocities in the name of god=?

atrocities in the name of satan=?

FYI if you know your history the first is considerably higher when it comes to the crusades, catholicism throughout the ages, etc.

Remember the wolf in sheep's clothing saying.

satanic music doesn't scare me because, it is precisely in your face. the worst enemy is the one you can not see coming or worse pretends to be something they are not.

religious zealotry practices as much judgment and condemnation as any cult.

The fact is no organized group can change everyone's mind for good or bad. Even the nazis didn't influence everyone. so get over it. live your life and stop being paranoid enough to attempt controlling the actions of every person around you. it's only powerful if you give it power. Ironically, that's precisely how faith works too.

Here is a link where the're talking bout country music with obsene lyrics
http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum10/HTML/004208.html

I've seen other post where they were talking about all the murder and suicide in folk music.

I would like to see a list of what some of the lyrics in Blues mean like "dust my broom" although stuff about sex is not obsene as killing.

Check out this site that list all the bands that play satanic music including Queen, Beach Boys, and the Rollong Stones. Click on the link "Country Music Hyprocrites". It talks of country bands singing gospel and satanic songs in the same set.

That's quite a website.

I was surprised to find out that Hee Haw was "of the devil"!

I think this posting has gotten rather convoluted.

The subject has drifted from "satanic music" to Christian bashing, the Spanish inquisition, and country music. This is quite a stretch.

There is quite a difference between country music that might mention drinking and kicking your dog to music that actually endorses and promotes devil worship, killing cops, beating your "ho" and etc.

I find NO redeeming qualities in this type of music, whatsoever. And feel that it is an abomination to the Lord.
