SUPRO guitars

I am looking for some help in dating a couple of SUPRO 6 string lap steels. If anyone had a reference to date these guitars or any history on the SUPRO company, please e-mail me (isteel4fun@door.net) or post here. Thanks - - Skip

Supro lap steels are dated the same way as National and other Valco-made steels. For the most part, they have a small metal plate on the back of the neck, on the opposite side of the neck from the nut. The serial number on that plate can be used to determine the year the guitar was made.
Clay Harrell's web site includes the Valco serial number scheme.
