Dee Lannon and the Dare-Devil Dillies "Dance and Sing with....". Aren't you glad you don't play in a band with a name like that? This is a group from Sweden led by a little fire-ball named Dee Lannon who sings in a style somewhere between Patsy Cline, Rose Maddox and Charlene Arthur. Instrumentation is classic 50's style swingin' honky-tonk/hillbilly. The steel player, Jurky Juvonen has studied the licks of the masters and puts in a good performance as do all the spirited band members. I always get a kick out of how people in distant parts of the globe interpret vintage American country music. You'll get a kick out of this CD which is used but in excellent condition.$12.00 includes free US Domestic shipping.

Dee Lannon is one of my dearest buddies, and a fantastic singer. She and her husband Lars Albrecht live here in Austin, and I'm always thrilled when she comes out and sits in with whomever I'm playing with. This is a good album to own, though it's not her only one.

Dee is an American of anglo and hispanic descent, btw. She does go overseas to record occasionally, as does her colleague Marti Brom. Marti is another fantastic performer that forumite Jussi Huhtakangas also records with. I've recorded with both these gals, great talents, both of them.
