Well, here goes another amp from my fine collection.
This is a mid 70's original rare Fender Vibrosonic Reverb 135 watt amp in immaculate shape. This amp has the original footswitch and Fender EV speaker. Even the face plate is straight without any of the typical bends on the edges.
This amp was completely retubed and re-capped by Tour Supply in Nashville during April 2005. The total for this work was just over $300 dollars and I can fax invoices to verify it.
The amp has only ever left my music room one time since for a small local event night and has around 20 hours total use since being reworked.
I am selling this unit as I just purchased a new Chevy pickup and want to part with a few items. I still have 4 Evans Fet 500's and 2 Webbs left which is more than any sane weekend player needs.
$975.00 plus shipping. Would prefer local pickup if possible as amp is in beautiful condition. (new cover included)
Thanks
Ray DeVoe

Best pedal steel amp ever made - also great for clean Tele and jazz guitar. Rich all-tube tone, but clean to the top. Takes any 8 ohm 15" speaker. This will make someone who loves vintage tube tone very, very happy.

Would this 1-15" Fender be a little lighter than a 2-12" Fender Twin, or does the weight just about even-out? |

Hi Chris.
I am not the expert on this but I would think that the 15" would be less weight than two 12" speakers. Two magnets are bound to weigh more than one slightly larger one.
Thanks

Well, it depends on the speakers, but when I replaced two 12s in a SF Pro Reverb with a JBL D130F, it saved me 4 lbs. |

Guys, this is a great amp from a great guy! For Ray, it will be very hard for him to part with this amp. It's one of his pets.

FYI:
The amp is back on the market. The first buyer had to back out due to problems on his end.
Thanks

The EV magnet is fairly heavy. And I will add a flat sounding, excellent speaker for any instrument. You get out exactly what you put in. No color. [This message was edited by Buck Dilly on 04 February 2006 at 07:52 AM.] |
