I just got a couple of Peavey amps from Lloyd. a 1975 Session 400 w/"spider Black Widow", and a later model Session 400 limited with original BW.
Both are in near perfect condition, and sound great.
Covers included for both.

I will entertain offers over $400 each via email or phone ONLY, until Jan. 2, 2005.

Thanks
Bob

I believe the Session 400s used JBLs exclusively through at least 1977. The spider BW must have been changed out later on, not original with the amp.

Thanks for the info Joe,
This one has a date of 5A, and Lloyd told me it is exactly the same way he received it. Although it does have Nash 400 type knobs on it. It is a NICE one.

I thought that some of the early ones you could find them with mostly JBL's and after about 75 or 76 they had black widows - Bob, yours would be a 75.

Hi Ron,
I just got off the phone with Lloyd and he said that he was under the impression that JBLs were optional at that time. I was aware that the early Sessions had the JBL(k series)/Peaveys, I destroyed a few of those.

Thanks for your input,
Bob

Mine is a '77 with the original JBL. Guess you could have either up through '77 or '78.

If Bob says they are the ones that Lloyd has used you can be sure that he has!! I read some where that he uses fender too. But I have seen him with peavey also.

Farris,
You are only partially confused this time. .

Lloyd does in fact use Fender Amps, and they are "Black Faced".

He normally records with Fender BUT, he normally uses Peavey on live performances.

He is also keeping another pair of these Peaveys.

I hope this helps clear up your confusion on this issue.

If you have interest in buying one or both of these amps, give me a call or email and we will work out the details.

Best Regards,
Bob

Early Session 400s (1974)came with a 15" JBL (grey). You could opt for 2 - 12" Electovoice spkrs. I think, 1975 Peavy went to the new JBL (black). Possibly 1976 they manufactured the BW? Mike Brown would have the exact dates/months.
