OK.....SteelRadio played Bluesette by some great mind this AM......Who dat??!! (that's their only problem.....never identify the tune or the picker)

Hey Doug..perhaps Doug Jernigan ? He did a fine cover of this tune on one of his early records..maybe the one with the "Two Girls at the Pool" on the Cover...

By the way..it's stinkin' cold down here...

It could have been one of several players, among them is Tom Morrell....his version and style are immediately identifiable, though, if you are familiar with the sound of the vintage fixed tunings he uses.

Doug Jernigan on a CD titled "Diggin' Doug"
Should be able to pick it up about anywhere.
Scotty's in St Louis has it.

Funny that Bluesette would get mentioned at this moment. I am just finished working on that tune using the Lydian Chromatic Concept of Tonal Organization (by George Russell...what a genius!). Turns out that you can play the whole thing in two key centers using this system, Eb Lydian and Eb Dorian.

At any rate, I just love that tune. Toots Thielemans had his "A" game the day he wrote that.
