Wow, just got through listening to this CD
of Dale Watson "Live in England" with Ricky Davis on pedal steel.
First of all, sorry Ricky that I had not heard you play before. The steel on this cd
is awesome. Not too much of that around the New Jersey area....although we do have a few
great pickers here too.
Dale Watson's voice is real country, and it sure is nice to hear that sound again.
Anyway, if you get a chance to hear it,
you'll end up playing it several times,
and then some more..............
GREAT STUFF !!!

I was just listening to Live in London again in my truck. I had to replay Bright Lights and Blonde Haired Women over and over. Not only do I enjoy Ricky's steel, but the range of Dale's vocals blow me away. Everytime I hear it I just think that it is a real crime we're not hearing Dale on the radio. Dale's cover of Bright Lights makes most everything on the radio so pale.

I got a recording of Dale doing You Made Me a Mountain and it sends the same chill up my spine.

Ricky;
Will you guys be in Europe or home during the weekend of March 20-23? The college where I teach has it's spring break that week and I'm trying to make plans for some warmer weather.

Ricky -
Seems like you guys are playing some kind of a rodeo (French version ) on the 7th and 8th, in Bercy, which is pretty much the Paris equivalent of Madison Sq Garden, or maybe the Astrodome
Then in Lyon on the 9th... any idea if there will be any other (smaller!) shows in Paris, on maybe like the 6th?
(I guess Bercy is a good gig, but we'd need a telescope to see you!)
