my introduction to B.J Cole was at Gerry Hogan's Newbury Steel Guitar Festival a few months ago.
He did a killer version of 'Harlem Nocturne' (Danny Gattin fans will know this one).

Welcome B.J., It's good to have you aboard, have been listening to 'The Heart of The Moment', just got it from Amazon, really enjoy it.
I have to say Your approach to playing is awesome, it was good to see and talk with you back in Austin at SXSW. How's that new Williams doing, it sure looked and sounded great.

Thanks Craig

hey B.J.,

great that you joined the club! You're once of the few really innovative player, IMO. I love your playing on the Richard Ashcroft-CD!

Good!
I've seen him play in a lot of contexts, always sounding good.
Good, too, to have someone closer to home, who's also world class, on the Forum

I can't get over the great part he played on "Fill Her Up" from Sting's "Brand New Day" album. The steel playing fit the song perfectly. Great stuff!

Don't forget his last hit record, Don't Stop the Panic, one of my favorite records, and certainly one of the most creative uses of the pedal steel ever.

BJ also played one of my favorite pop steel solos, on Gerry Rafferty's 'Right on Down the Line'.

I'd have to say that B.J. has played on more pop or rock albums than any steel player in history, if you doubt that, check out this link: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=R65510#APPEAR

B.J. , thanks for playing some wonderful steel on Procol Harum's record back in the late seventies. I believe it was from their excellent Exotic Birds album and if I remember correctly it was probably the track " As Strong As Samson ".
Great playing , great album
