In IE 6, if you want to clear the history of pages you have visited it's Tools-Internet Options-General-Clear History. Auto Complete is for remembering login names, etc. on web pages, not the web pages themselves.

There's a check box to use auto complete for web addresses. Uncheck that and clear your history and it shouldn't fill in any more URLs.

If you will notice.....

Just to the left of the "Clear History" there is a little box with a number in it.

To the left of that box is "Days to keep pages in History" text.

Set the number of days to 0 (Zero) and that will clear out the History stuff each time the computer is turned off..... or whenever the internal computer clock rolls over to the next day.

Works Fine...Last a long time.

There's a neat little freebe program called "Crap Cleaner" at www.majorgeeks.com that will clean out all the junk you want to get rid of and do it a few seconds. Just type "crap cleaner" into the search block and you'll find it.
You can select any stuff you want to keep. It wipes out all the old system registry crap from programs that have been uninstalled, browser history, cookies, web addresses, you name it.
