Printing Pictures

Post by jolynyk »

Can someone help me in printing pictures.. most of the time I get one picture on a glossy sheet of 81/2" by 11" .. These sheets are rather expensive & I'm not sure how to place pictures on a sheet to get maximum usage .. for example 4 3by5 photos.. is there a particular program that works well for this.. I'm runni9ng a dual setup ( Windows XP Pro. & Windows 98 ) Thanks....... John

jolynyk;
When I use the expensive paper for printing pictures, I use Microsoft Publisher. Just insert the pictures into the document. (Depending on how big you want them to be,) you can get more than one on the page. I think it also works with MS Word.

Try Qimage. You can download a fully functional trial version and use it for 30 days.

The program lets you specify the size and number of prints you want to place on a given page and automatically places them for you. But the most important feature is that it calculates the correct resolution and dimensions to get the maximum quality out of the image. Then it resamples the pics using an algorithm not generally available in low-end picture programs.

Many feel Qimage produces the best quality prints of any program on the market.
