I'll be changing over to high speed cable next week. Will I lose any of my regular email address list in my address book?
Also will I have to update anything in my profile for the forum.
Thanks...........Joe

Joe...

You probably will get a new e-mail address, Something like "XXXXX@home.com". (This may not be exactly the format.)

As far as your address book, it should stay the same, because your changing your IP carrier only. I am using IE5.0 and didn't loose anything in the address book.

When I went from modem to DSL, I had to tell everybody of the change. Your previous IP carrier will NOT automatically link folks to your new address.

I am sure you will really enjoy the 110% increase in overall performance and getting down those super-big (xxmeg) files will only take a moment or two as opposed to 2 (two) hours or more (depending on the speed of your old modem,(28,33,56k)

As for updateing anything on the forumn, All I did was change the e-mail address in the profile section. I would do this just as a courtesy to b0b (who provides us with this wonderful forumn) and also help other members that wish to reply back to you via e-mail instead of posting here on the forumn.
