OK, this doesn't have anything to do with steel guitar, and this really is a shot in the dark, BUT...
I'm looking to buy a used ("used," obviously, as this CD, originally issued in 1986 and last re-issued in 1990 [I think], is now out of print) copy of The Brian Melvin Trio CD, "Standards Zone." Brian Melvin on drums, Jaco Pastorius on bass, and Jon Davis on piano. Featuring Jaco P. (on electric fretless bass, of course!) in an otherwise acoustic setting, this is my favorite Jaco recording. I had this CD at one time, and even though I manage to keep pretty good track of my CDs, this one disappeared.
And I'll tell you straight up, used copies of this CD have been garnering some crazy prices lately at various online CD-outlets. If you have this CD and are willing to sell it, e-mail me, and I will give you an honest, full-disclosure, hyperlink-supplied account of the particulars & other details.
