I recently accquired an 1941 6 string Epiphone Zephyr Lap Steel with the original hardshell case and some picks and a couple of bars. It seems to be in great shape for it's age - The only thing I have noticed is that the tone and volume controls don't work - They seem to feel like they should, and they turn freely - wondering if they are just bypassed?? Is anyone up on these and know value and where I might look for help on the tone and volume pots - I am going to try to take it apart and see if I see anything. Anyone interested, I can email a pic.
Thanx............Ron

Ron, I don't know if this helps, but here's what the inside of mine looks like. My guitar is a little earlier than yours, but it can't be too different.

Thanx Kerry - That helps a lot - I printed the picture and when I get a chance, I'll check it out.
